MEET WENDY

Hello. I'm really glad you found your way here.

My name is Wendy House.

I've spent most of my adult life believing that people are far more capable than they think they are.

I've just always believed that. In management, in training, in counselling rooms, on a bushland deck in Bauple with paint-covered women laughing at what just came out on the page. The setting changes. The belief doesn't.

I'm a qualified Counsellor with a Degree in Counselling through the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors, and a Transpersonal Art Therapist. I've worked with women in workshops and one-on-one sessions for years, I've worked alongside Relationships Australia, and I'm a practising acrylic and mixed media artist. I know this work from the inside out, in every sense.

I'm not here to tell you what to do.

That's probably the most important thing I can say about how I work.

It is not my job or my desire to suggest to you what you should do, feel, think, or be. My work is about freeing you up so that your own innate drive for wellness and fulfilment can work effectively for you. You already have that drive. Sometimes it just needs a little space to breathe.

Art therapy gives it that space. Not because you need to be artistic (you genuinely don't), but because making something with your hands bypasses all the clever, careful words we use to keep our feelings at a safe distance. What comes out on the page is often what we most needed to see.

Right now, I'm on the road.

My husband and I are travelling Australia in our caravan, and the work has come with me. Which, when I think about it, makes perfect sense. Because the women I most want to reach aren't always in cities with easy access to the kind of support that makes a real difference.

They're in towns that get overlooked. They're sitting with feelings they haven't got the words for, wondering if anyone else feels the same way.

They do. I promise you that.

If any of this feels familiar, you're in the right place.

Whether you're curious about the membership, looking for a one-on-one session, or wondering if I might be passing through your town, I'd love to hear from you.
